District Description

Otto-Eldred School District is a small, rural school system located in northern McKean County, Pennsylvania.  The municipalities served, including Eldred Borough, Eldred Township and Otto Township, are within a 2-hour drive of Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY.  The Allegheny National Forest and all of its associated outdoor recreational activities is within a 30 mile drive from the district.

The Otto-Eldred School serves a population of about 650 learners PreK – 12 in separate elementary and junior-senior high school buildings.  With a teaching staff of just over 50 and administrative staff of 4, Otto-Eldred prides itself on learner-focused planning and creative use of resources to meet the needs of every learner.  Faculty and learners have ample access to technology throughout both buildings and in every classroom.   

Otto-Eldred is seeking candidates for multiple teaching positions that embrace collaborative planning focused on utilizing multiple data sources to promote learner engagement and success.  Candidates should be skillful in the use of technology to plan meaningful learning experiences which encourage creativity and critical thinking.  Working knowledge of the PA Core Standards and PA Academic Standards are essential to each position as well as an ability to integrate literacy into daily planning.  Additional compensation is provided for educators possessing and utilizing multiple certification areas.
