Mrs. Burns is the Assistant District Principal and Coordinator for Special Programs within the Otto-Eldred School District.  Mrs. Burns assists both building Principals and coordinates all special education, alternative education, and online programming needs for the district.


Mrs. Burns received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary (K-6) and Special Education (N-12) from St. Bonaventure University in 2005.  She continued schooling to obtain her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University in 2009.  Upon finishing her Master's Degree, she also earned certifications in the areas of Supervisor of Special Education (2010) and Administration K-12 (2011).

Mrs. Burns began her educational career in August of 2005 as a Learning Support teacher through the Intermediate Unit.  She was placed at Otto-Eldred School District in both buildings (K-12).  In 2010 she became a Supervisor of Special Education through the Intermediate Unit and worked in several of the school districts located within the IU helping to build and sustain successful special education programs.  In July 2014, she became the Assistant Principal of Special Programs for the Otto-Eldred School District.

Mrs. Burns enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering her time within the community, and cheering on her favorite sports teams such as the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Pirates.  Mrs. Burns resides in Bradford with her husband Corey, and her two children Cooper and Beckett.
